The Bible teaches us that having a strong mentor/mentee relationship is vital for those who desire to be able to meet the many challenges we all must meet in today’s ever changing environment. There are many examples such as Elijah and Elisha. 2 Kings 2 2-4 where Elisha refused to leave the sight of Elijah. You also have the example of Moses and Joshua. Exodus 24: 13-15.
JICFBI matches students with seasoned pastors to develop a mentor relationship. The seasoned pastor can offer advice and support when requested by the student or can simply be a prayer partner. This is a spiritually based support and does not imply financial support at all. Students are prohibited from requesting financial support for any reason what so ever. The mentors are also prohibited from offering financial support. This will be strictly enforced.
